Dr Kwesi Aning, guest of David Ampofo in this interview, says Ghana’s oil discovery exposes her to increased security threats, and it is necessary for the Ghanaian Government to institute preventive measures to deal with them. Dr Aning is the Head of Research at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC). Prior to joining KAIPTC in 2007, Dr Aning served as the African Union’s first Expert on Counter-terrorism, defense and security, with oversight over the African Centre for the Study and Research on Terrorism (ACSRT) in Algiers, Algeria.
